Yellowfin Tuna Recalled Due to Hepatitis A Contamination — Food Recall

If you regularly eat raw fish, then it's time to quickly step back and make sure you're safe. A popular tuna retailer has issued a recall, as its product may contain the Hepatitis A virus. Those who have not been vaccinated are at risk.

Hilo Fish Company Inc. rolled out the recall two weeks ago — the company made it public on Friday — for its frozen yellowfin tuna product, says the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The products impacted are 8-ounce tuna steaks with an expiration date of October 1, 2018 and 15-pound frozen tuna cubes dated to expire on April 1, 2019.
